Unit Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Unit Supervisor to join our team at McDonald's Restaurants. As a Unit Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and food service helpers, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting expectations.
- Estimate and Manage Inventory: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and manage inventory to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Ensure Quality and Safety: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and that all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage Records and Reports: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related environment.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a team player attitude.

- Support for Indigenous People: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
- Support for Mature Workers: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers, and offers phased retirement options.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, offers mentorship programs, and provides diversity and cross-cultural training.
