About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Coast Mental Health. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a key role in providing therapeutic recreation services to individuals with mental health conditions. Your expertise will help clients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs that meet the needs of clients with mental health conditions.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, using a variety of recreation-based interventions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and resources to support client needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
- 2 years of experience working in a mental health setting.
- Eligible for membership in the British Columbia Therapeutic Recreation Association (BCTRA).
