Recreational Therapist - Maximum and Multi-Level
BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team in Coquitlam, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient's current level of recreation functioning and develop individualized therapeutic recreation plans.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic recreation programs and services for patients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient assessment and progress records.
- Participate in community meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance recreation therapy services.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Recreation Therapy from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Two years of recent experience working in a psychiatric setting with individuals who have complex mental health and addictions issues.
- Eligible for membership in the British Columbia Therapeutic Recreation Association.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
