Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Glazier to join our team at TORONTO GLASS. This position involves working with various types of glass and frames, ensuring high-quality installations and repairs.

Employment Details
  • Employment Duration: Temporary

  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week
Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role
Asset Languages
  • Spanish; Castilian
  • Hebrew
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the type of glass, frames, and materials needed for projects
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass accurately
  • Position and secure glass panes within frames
  • Prepare estimates and quotations for clients
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass products, mirrors, and other glass items
  • Install various hardware including doors and windows
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures as needed
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Operate man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting devices
Specialization Areas
  • Installation of curtain walls (both stock length and prefabricated materials)
  • Spandrel panel installations
  • Aluminum framing
  • Skylights and slope-glazed installations
  • Stained glass and electrically altered glass installations
  • Shower doors and tub enclosures
  • Vehicle windows and sunroofs
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks
  • Capable of lifting heavy loads
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
Tools and Equipment
  • Must provide own tools and safety equipment
  • Safety glasses and goggles are required
