Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Remedial Cement Supervisor to join our team at Magnum Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day field remedial cementing operations on location and at the shop, while also supporting primary cementing activities as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure timely arrival at location.
  • Execute successful cementing jobs according to design and client specifications, with a strong understanding of rigging in/out procedures.
  • Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations, including critical tasks such as measuring cement density, collecting samples, and utilizing radios on location.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal departments, including Sales and Dispatch.
  • Work with station management to maintain operation and service standards, and assist in leadership of the Station.
  • Evaluate Bulk Drivers and Operators on weekly maintenance requirements and equipment rebuilding.
  • Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies, ensuring compliance with HSE legislation.
  • Prepare end-of-well, end-of-month, incident, and maintenance reports, as required.
  • Verify load tickets and conduct/participate in incident reporting.
  • Implement and maintain procedures to ensure high levels of service.
  • Develop and maintain strong external/internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives.
  • Work with management to improve policy and procedures.
  • Supervise a crew on basic remedial jobs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate core pieces of equipment.
  • Understand slow-rate squeeze theory and competently perform operational execution.
  • Understand downhole tools and their operations, as well as coil tubing fundamentals.
  • Complete Supervisor 1 sections of MAP (Magnum's internal competency evaluation program).
  • Support primary cementing activities as needed.
  • Participate in training and development activities.
Requirements
  • Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg, bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Able to work outdoors for extended periods and in all types of weather conditions.
  • Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on a 6 days off rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times (subject to change due to market conditions).
  • Able to work in congested or confined areas, and with exposure to loud noises and vibration.
  • Experience as an oil and gas cementing supervisor and in operating pumpers.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software, as required.
  • Experience in the completion of reports.
  • Experience in dealing with customers and dispatch.
  • Understanding of cementing job design and client specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety.
  • Able to perform all regular maintenance on equipment.
  • Demonstrated leadership.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Team player and customer service focused.
  • Demonstrated initiative and results-oriented.
Assets
  • Possesses oilfield tickets.
  • Experience with volume and hydrostatic calculations.
  • Ability to rebuild equipment.
