Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and interact with patients, ensuring they understand the specimen collection process and follow necessary test protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
  • Enter patient demographics, requisition information, and other relevant data into our system.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent experience in phlebotomy, intravenous infusion, and/or intravenous therapy.
  • ECG training or experience is an asset.
  • Proficient data entry skills and excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
