Job Summary:

CAE is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production and logistics team, you will be responsible for collaborating with inventory management and logistics to place mini markets (kanban) in production cells and ensure their maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review new mini market (kanban) requirements and implement necessary changes to optimize inventory levels and meet project deadlines.
  • Prioritize implementations for stock availability to ensure timely delivery of products to our customers.
  • Serve as a liaison for manufacturing, assembly cells, industrial engineering, and logistics to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Facilitate clear communication and ensure follow-up among teams to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Evaluate business needs continuously and make necessary adjustments to optimize inventory levels and improve supply chain efficiency.

Requirements:

  • College diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (operations and production management), industrial engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience in unionized manufacturing environments is an asset.
  • Proficiency in sourcing and Material Resource Planning (MRP) software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and excellent team player.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
  • Bilingualism is a requirement.
