Heavy Duty Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Ask Transportation Limited. As a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment, and adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks
- Service attachments and working tools
- Verify and repair emission control systems
- Perform other routine maintenance
- Diesel Engine Repair
- Exhaust system
- Engine control system
- Mechanical Maintenance and Repair
- Brake system
The ideal candidate will be physically demanding and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Requirements- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy duty equipment repair
- Other trades certificate or diploma
- or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a non-smoking environment
- Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment
- Ability to relocate for this position
