On Side Restoration is seeking a highly skilled Remediation Specialist to join our team in Halifax. As a Remediation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients and workers by performing remediation services and protecting against asbestos and mould.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential asbestos and mould hazards
  • Develop and implement remediation plans to safely remove and dispose of contaminated materials
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on remediation procedures and best practices

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and a clean criminal record
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Asbestos remediation ticket or equivalent experience
  • Background in demolition or construction
  • Experience working in a team environment
