About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Denny's Restaurants. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Hire and manage food service staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, including taste, presentation, and timeliness.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to identify areas for improvement.
  • Inventory Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
