Food Service Support Specialist Job Description
  • Education: Completion of secondary school diploma
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years in a similar roleKey Responsibilities
  • Assist in the arrangement of dining tables and ensure clean dishware is available
  • Efficiently clear and sanitize tables, trays, and seating areas
  • Operate dishwashing equipment to uphold cleanliness standards for all dishware
  • Restock condiments and supplies at dining tables and service stations as needed
  • Prepare and package take-out meals for customers
  • Measure and wrap food items as required
  • Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of basic food items
  • Engage with patrons, take orders, and serve at counters or buffet setups
  • Restock refrigerators and salad bars with necessary items
  • Utilize kitchen appliances to clean and prepare food according to established guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and ensure trash receptacles are kept clean
  • Regularly sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain cleanlinessEquipment and Machinery Proficiency
  • Experience with conventional ovens
  • Handling of deep fryers
  • Operation of electronic cash registers
  • Management of food dispensersSafety and Security
  • A criminal background check will be requiredWork Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Work in a fast-paced setting with physically demanding tasks
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods
  • Strong interpersonal skills and dependability are crucial
