GHD is in search of a Senior Electrical Technician to become part of our engineering design division.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary design team, the Senior Electrical Technician will engage in various electrical aspects for diverse projects, including new constructions, enhancements, and optimization of existing systems. This role necessitates practical expertise in detailed design outputs and project oversight in electrical engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field assessments and develop survey plans
- Aid in the design of electrical systems for institutional and industrial facilities, including standard and emergency power distribution, lighting calculations, security systems, automation, telecommunications, etc.
- Generate technical schematics utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT software
- Ensure the successful completion of design preparation phases
- Guarantee adherence to drawing standards
- Conduct site inspections and participate in various stages of project supervision
- Propose solutions for technical challenges under the guidance of an engineer
- Provide assistance to engineers, technicians, and drafters in the team for more complex tasks
Required Qualifications:
- College diploma (DEC) in a discipline related to electricity, electrical engineering, or equivalent
- Familiarity with building electrical standards and regulations
- Over 10 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT software
- Competence in the Microsoft Office suite
- Possession of an ASP Construction card
- Valid driver's license
- Strong initiative and eagerness to learn
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills for teamwork
- Proficiency in French
