About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Denny's 17 Ave. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare Budgets and Reports: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and submit reports as required.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that they are fair and reasonable, and that they meet the needs of the business.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, and physically demanding work.
