Job Title: Pathologist Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic team in Histopathology. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for examining, describing, and dissecting small and complex surgical specimens of all tissue types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with or perform neonatal autopsies under pathologists' supervision
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities
  • Perform teaching duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology or equivalent (MLT with Advance training or Master Science program)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified
  • Experience using "voice recognition" system an asset
  • Canadian Certification Council of Pathologists' Assistants (CCCPA) an asset
  • Working experience as histo-techologist is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset
