Position Overview

The Legal Services Officer plays a crucial role in providing support within the judicial system, ensuring that defendants are well-informed of their rights and obligations.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: On-the-job training will be provided.
Work Environment
  • Site: The position is based in an urban area, within a non-smoking and air-conditioned environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Clarify legal rights and responsibilities to individuals involved in court proceedings.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
Court Experience
  • Familiarity with Provincial and Territorial Court procedures is essential.
Security and Safety Requirements
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.
  • Verification of a valid driver's license and driving record.
Transportation Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and personal transportation are necessary.
Work Conditions
  • The role demands a fast-paced work environment with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
