We are looking for dedicated Project Coordinator students to join our team at Avondale Construction Ltd Atlantic. As an integral part of our organization, Project Coordinators assist the Project Manager and/or Site Superintendent in overseeing construction projects. We value individuals who embrace challenges, take on responsibilities, and seek opportunities for professional growth. The project team serves as the primary liaison for all stakeholders involved in project execution, including clients, subcontractors, and the community.

Key Responsibilities as a Project Coordinator Intern:

  • Manage and distribute change orders, directives, requests for information, and site instructions.
  • Provide site information and inspection reports to the Safety and Project Managers.
  • Organize site coordination meetings and ensure accurate minutes are recorded and shared.
  • Track shop drawing submissions and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Maintain logs for site-specific deliverables.
  • Facilitate the timely collection of information and deliverables from consultants, subcontractors, and owners.
  • Assist in administering deficiency punch lists alongside the Site Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Ensure Superintendents have access to updated project information (binders, logs, shop drawings, etc.).
  • Provide support to Superintendents and Project Managers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in civil engineering or architectural technology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
  • Familiarity with FTP sites and other file-sharing platforms is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to effectively multitask and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to group efforts.
