POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Recreation Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive activities and recreation services aimed at providing therapeutic and supportive care to residents/clients in various areas. A Vulnerable Sector Check and proof of Covid-19 vaccination will be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate programs based on participants' needs and interests.
  • Support Resident/Client Council activities and perform other assigned duties.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and deliver programs that promote physical and emotional well-being.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance program offerings and services.
  • Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations to ensure effectiveness and quality of services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a related field from an Ontario institution.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a geriatric setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Smart Serve certification.
  • Adherence to departmental policies.
  • Food Safety Training Program (E.O.H.U.) considered an asset.
