Recreation Therapist

At the City of Cornwall, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Recreologist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive activities and recreation services that cater to the diverse needs of our residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver programs that promote physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to understand individual needs and preferences.
- Design and implement programs that enhance program efficiency and promote resident engagement.
- Support the Resident/Client Council by promoting Council activities and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Resident & Outreach Services.
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Recreation & Leisure studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Kinesiology, Gerontology, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years' experience in a geriatric setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software packages.
- Valid Class G driver's license and Smart Serve certification.
- Food Safety Training Program (E.O.H.U.) an asset.
