Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role within the Accounting Department, collaborating closely with the Director of Accounting and Accounting Managers. This position is responsible for overseeing month-end closing activities, which include:
  • Reconciling ledger accounts
  • Reviewing profit and loss statements
  • Recording various accounting transactions

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general accounting month-end close activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements.
  • Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions, ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established accounting policies and principles.
  • Analyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports.
  • Assist in the documentation of accounting projects.
  • Apply principles, theories, and concepts in the relevant discipline, while also possessing a working knowledge of related fields.
  • Resolve a diverse range of complex problems through data analysis, demonstrating good judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques.
  • Represent the organization on various projects, potentially taking on project leadership roles and supervising lower-level personnel.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounting & Finance or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Preferred audit experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
  • Solid understanding of databases and the ability to extract information using SQL scripts.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
