Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Regional Cardiac Care Specialist
Job Summary:
- Report to the Director of the Regional Cardiac Care Program
- Integral member of the RCCP
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care in collaboration with patients and families
- Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to optimize health and care quality
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery across various settings
- Lead professional development and mentorship within the Cardiac Program
- Develop and implement policies and clinical pathways for quality improvement
- Offer cross-coverage within the cardiac program as needed
Requirements:
- Master's in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner Stream OR Master's in Nursing with Acute Care NP Certificate
- Minimum 1 year experience as an advanced practice nurse in CV Surgery
- Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical specialty experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current RNAO and NP Association of Ontario membership preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in an inter-professional setting
- Experience in program development, quality improvement, and clinical research
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to customer service, teamwork, and continuous learning
