Position: After-Hours Service Worker

Under the supervision of the After Hours Supervisor, the After-Hours Service Worker plays a crucial role in delivering after-hours and weekend crisis intervention services. This position involves responding to reports of child maltreatment and providing immediate protective measures when necessary. Responsibilities include de-escalating crises and stabilizing situations that arise outside of regular operational hours.

  • On-call compensation: $5.66 to $6.62
  • Call-out compensation: $53.19 to $62.23

Applicants must identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit. Strong communication skills are essential. A Bachelor of Social Work degree is preferred, along with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a social services environment. Familiarity with Niijaansinaanik programs and Anishinabek culture is required, as well as knowledge of First Nation service delivery practices.

Candidates must provide a Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. A Class 'G' Ontario Driver's License, access to a vehicle, and $1M automobile insurance are mandatory. A three-year uncertified driver’s abstract is also required.
