About the Role

Mabuhay Supermarket and Garden Produce Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, process claims, and ensure timely payment of benefits.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Maintain general ledgers, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work in an urban area and have a strong understanding of financial concepts and regulations.
