Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Coordinator located in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Canada.

The Material Coordinator will act as a focal point for acquisition, scheduling, and distribution of materials, supplies, and service requisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Enter materials, tools, equipment requests via SAP and other Procurement Systems.
  • Communicate status updates on orders, including any issues such as delayed delivery.
  • Communicate potential changes in material specifications between supplier and requestor and initiate system updates, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate the disposition of all surplus material.
  • Coordinate the repair and/or return of materials, tools, and equipment obtained on a value-added work order.
  • Monitor/tracks materials, tools, and equipment orders upon receipt.
  • Prepare requisitions for off-site resources and for outside of maintenance, as needed.
  • Arrange materials, tools, and equipment in a manner that can be identified and picked up according to job needs.
  • Gather information and input into the appropriate maintenance measures/key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Use metrics to measure materials coordination tasks and develop actions to improve the process.
  • Communicate vendor performance to procurement services.
  • Work closely with procurement, coding, planning, scheduling, and work coordination to provide seamless execution of the Global Management Work Process (GMWP).
  • Be willing and able to work overtime and weekends, as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 or more years of industry experience.
  • The ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
