We're looking for a Material Coordinator to join our team in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Canada.

The successful candidate will act as a focal point for acquisition, scheduling, and distribution of materials, supplies, and service requisitions.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter materials, tools, and equipment requests via SAP and other procurement systems.
  • Communicate status updates on orders, including any issues with delayed delivery.
  • Communicate potential changes in material specifications between suppliers and requestors, and initiate system updates as needed.
  • Coordinate the disposition of all surplus material and the repair and/or return of materials, tools, and equipment obtained on a value-added work order.
  • Monitor and track materials, tools, and equipment orders upon receipt.
  • Prepare requisitions for off-site resources and outside of maintenance, as needed.
  • Arrange materials, tools, and equipment in a manner that can be identified and picked up according to job needs.
  • Gather information and input into maintenance measures and key performance indicators (KPIs). Use metrics to measure materials coordination tasks and develop actions to improve the process.
  • Communicate vendor performance to procurement services.
  • Work closely with procurement, coding, planning, scheduling, and work coordination to provide seamless execution of the Global Management Work Process (GMWP).
  • Be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 or more years of industry experience.
  • The ability to work legally in Canada; no visa sponsorship or support is available for this position.
