Position Overview:

This role combines the responsibilities of a senior business analyst with those of a technical solutions architect/system analyst. The selected candidate will undertake various tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop strategic architectures for digital and data initiatives.
  • Provide consultation on digital and data projects that influence business strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with health system and IT stakeholders to establish and enhance business, digital, and data architectural strategies.
  • Evaluate and document the current digital and data landscape within the health system.
  • Create digital and data roadmaps that align with industry evolution and health system strategic objectives.
  • Act as a key contributor to the multiyear strategic planning process to ensure alignment of digital and data strategies with business goals.
  • Ensure adherence to technology decisions and directions.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in digital and data to ensure that solutions meet the health system's needs.
  • Some travel within the province may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in business analysis principles, processes, and tools/techniques.
  • Familiarity with best practice frameworks aimed at delivering high-quality information technology.
  • Certification or relevant experience with The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF).
  • Over ten (10) years of diverse experience encompassing IT, data, and business analysis.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining artifacts such as technology strategies, roadmaps, architecture models, standards, and patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior level on at least one large-scale project involving significant transformational changes to personnel, business systems, and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels within a complex organization.
  • Exceptional facilitation skills with experience in leading large workshops, gathering requirements, and presenting findings.
  • Excellent writing capabilities with experience in drafting business cases, roadmaps, reports, plans, and proposals.
  • Ability to effectively bridge communication between business/stakeholder groups and technical/IT teams.
  • Familiarity with digital and data tools and technologies.
