Pharmaceutical Inventory Coordinator

This role supports the safe and accurate distribution, transportation, and delivery of publicly-funded vaccines. The successful candidate will work with Registered Pharmacy Technicians and Public Health Pharmacists to ensure compliance with Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care standards, protocols, and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and pack vaccines for delivery, utilizing refrigerated vehicles to transport publicly-funded vaccines and pharmaceutical products.
- Support vaccine distribution by picking and validating vaccines from storage units, referencing relevant details as required.
- Participate in vaccine cycle counting, verification of thermometers, temperature documentation, and records updates.
- Deliver vaccines and pharmaceutical products to various locations, as needed.
- Pick-up vaccine orders and return reusable vaccine and wastage to appropriate locations.
- Provide operational support to staff at sub-offices for the distribution of publicly-funded pharmaceutical products.
- Operate refrigerated vehicles to ensure safe storage and transportation of vaccines during business continuity plan activations and extended power outages.
- Perform non-pharmaceutical inventory cycle count and replenishment, vaccine distribution inventory and ordering, receives shipments, and submits invoices for review and payment.
- Log program documents through records management systems.
- High School Diploma or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of vaccine storage and handling protocols, standards, and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills to provide high-quality customer service.
- Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications and inventory systems.
- Valid Ontario Class "G" driver's license free of serious offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
- Ability to work outside regular business hours, as required.
