About This Role

The Training Development Manager is a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing the complete project management and development lifecycle for the implementation of strategic courseware and complex global courseware business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple courseware developers and support project managers to deliver high-quality training materials
  • Implement courseware training strategies and manage the development process in line with industry standards
  • Lead a team of Instructional System Designers, courseware developers, multimedia developers, editors, and Subject Matter Experts in the development of courseware projects
  • Align to all project lifecycle processes and participate in setting courseware standards
  • Manage the courseware personnel to maximize throughput and deliver a quality product globally
  • Identify and assign resources required to ensure all project commitments are met
  • Participate in team scrums and weekly leader meetings, and conduct inter-departmental meetings on projects
  • Manage the supply chain for Courseware development and relationships with outsourcing partners
  • Ensure governance of the financials and budgets of the courseware projects and participate in governance meetings
  • Develop the talent pipeline by leading employee management activities, providing coaching/mentoring, and guidance to junior leaders
  • Monitor cost, schedule, scope, and quality of assigned projects, and review and approve project schedules and work plans
  • Work with Project Managers to identify and evaluate project risks, issues, mitigation, and opportunities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in any field; Master's degree or MBA a plus
  • Experience in working with Training and Development teams and delivering training products to global audiences
  • Demonstrable experience of working and communicating with various levels, including senior management, technical staff, and end users
  • Strong knowledge of financials and KPIs, reporting project status to senior management
  • Experience managing consultants and suppliers, negotiating SOW and contracts
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodology
