About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing your store team to deliver exceptional customer service and help Pet Parents find the right products for their pets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of employees to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Recruit, train, and develop store staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles
- Ensure that all store operations are running smoothly, including inventory management, store audits, and safety audits
- Coordinate with corporate operations to ensure that all standards and procedures are met
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
- Monitor and control store expenses to ensure profitability
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in the pet care industry
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving sales growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, customers, and corporate partners
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
