Job Summary
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for selling new and used material handling equipment within a designated area of responsibility (AOR). This includes:
- Sales and Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the AOR
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers
- Account Management
- Manage a portfolio of existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services
- Market Knowledge and Analysis
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities
- Travel and Administration
- Travel throughout the AOR to meet with customers and prospects
- Manage travel expenses and maintain accurate records
Requirements
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the material handling industry
- Proven track record of sales success and achievement of sales targets
- Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the AOR
