About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at G Star Homes Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings, meeting our high standards.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife, demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, guaranteeing a strong bond.
  • Estimate costs and materials, providing accurate and reliable information to support project planning.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, adhering to safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, applying technical knowledge and expertise.
