As a Lead Water Treatment Solutions Engineer at Integrated Sustainability, you will engage in multidisciplinary projects aimed at delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for our clientele. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance your career by participating in high-impact projects related to water, waste, and energy management.
Your extensive experience in the engineering sector, coupled with your ability to manage projects and collaborate with diverse teams, will empower you to drive significant advancements in engineering practices and water resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate teams and projects of varying sizes, focusing on water, waste, and energy.
- Conduct thorough data characterization and analysis.
- Execute feasibility studies and engineering designs across multiple technical environments.
- Oversee construction management and system optimization to fulfill client specifications.
- Perform water and wastewater chemistry assessments and chemical modeling to determine treatment needs for various applications.
- Build and maintain essential relationships with clients, technical personnel, government officials, and technology providers.
- Mentor and supervise junior technical and field personnel.
- Design and retrofit water and wastewater treatment systems for both industrial and municipal applications.
- Calculate sizing for control valves and pressure safety valves.
- Conduct hydraulic and process analyses, including sizing of pumps, pressure vessels, and storage tanks.
- Lead preliminary and detailed design efforts for process and water treatment facilities in various regions.
- Carry out process optimization studies utilizing simulation software and troubleshooting techniques.
- Oversee procurement, fabrication, and construction of water and wastewater systems.
- Ensure compliance with engineering regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as water/wastewater treatment, aqueous chemistry, or engineering.
- Over 10 years of experience in process engineering within North American industrial water treatment or related sectors.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Requirements:
- Registration with relevant engineering associations is preferred; experience with U.S. regulatory bodies is a plus.
- Strong English communication skills, with a proven track record in technical report writing.
- Demonstrated leadership and client communication abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary roles in the design process.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in managing the fabrication and construction of water treatment systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with water management and reuse systems in various industrial and municipal contexts.
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment technologies and practices for industrial and municipal applications.
