Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Alton Kids Child Care Center. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Plan and lead activities that encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
    • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Child Development and Observation
    • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
    • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
    • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
    • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Environment and Safety
    • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
    Requirements
    • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
    • Bending, crouching, kneeling
    • Manual dexterity
    • Judgement
    • Values and ethics
    • Creativity
    • Work Term: Permanent
    • Work Language: English
    • Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week
