About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Small Wunders Child Care - Burlington. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
