VP of Engineering for Core Business

Dropbox is seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the VP of Software Engineering for our Core Business. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the overall success of our engineering initiatives for our core products.
You will report directly to the General Manager for Core and play a pivotal role in shaping the engineering direction of the company. In this role, you will have end-to-end ownership of product engineering and will partner closely with product, growth, sales, marketing, and design teams.
You will lead the engineering teams responsible for the development of all of our core products, including FSS, DocSend, Sign, Replay, and Capture for personal, professional, and team use. We've built a top-tier product engineering team and are seeking a leader to guide our next phase of growth.
You will lead and inspire a world-class engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will set technical direction, make critical architectural decisions, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.
You will own the delivery of business strategy, and work with executive teams to set business strategy each year. You will have 12+ years of engineering experience in a medium or large software company, including 6+ years managing high-performance teams.
Experience managing engineering teams similar in size to our 400-person engineering organization is a must. You will have a strong technical craft mastery and engineering discipline, as well as experience building a high-performing culture.
We are looking for a leader who can balance business delivery with engineering quality, has strong business acumen, and a keen eye for data-driven decision making. You will have experience managing full-stack (mobile, platform & product) engineering organizations at SaaS companies, and experience leading an engineering department through a transformation phase.
