Job Title:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Traffic & Transportation Engineer to join our team at PHM Search Group Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct traffic impact analyses and prepare reports, including coordinating traffic counts, calculating growth rates, and assessing traffic impact at access locations and nearby intersections.
  • Develop design concepts into preliminary designs, including preparation of design briefs, detailed geometry, and general layout development.
  • Preliminary cost estimates and attendance at public open house and planning committee meetings as required.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff, and maintain client relationships on a per-project basis.
  • Stay up-to-date with current industry practices and standards, and undertake engineering analysis following approved procedures.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation.
  • P.Eng designation or ability to register with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
  • At least 10 years of experience in the field, with field or site work experience an asset.
  • Proficiency in software such as Synchro Ver. 8, Rodel-v1Win, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills, with a high level of commitment and independence.
