Position Overview:
As a Lead Internal Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for executing a variety of intricate audit projects while facilitating enhancements through risk assessment and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Planning: Collaborate with the audit team and Internal Audit Manager to establish objectives, risk criteria, and the scope of assigned audits.
  • Program Development: Formulate the audit work program, including procedures, resource allocation, and key milestones.
  • Analysis and Evaluation: Employ data analytics and benchmarks to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Project Management: Oversee and assess the contributions of team members to ensure compliance with professional audit standards.
  • Documentation: Ensure that audit planning and working papers align with the International Professional Practice Framework (IPPF) of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
  • Communication: Prepare clear and concise reports that effectively communicate the benefits of audit activities to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Action Plan Follow-up: Collaborate with the Internal Audit Manager and business units to support the timely execution of action plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Capture and share lessons learned from audit engagements to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders across the organization to enhance internal controls and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:
~ A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-university experience.
~ Strong understanding and application of the International Professional Practice Framework of the IIA.
~ Proven relationship-building skills with experience in conflict resolution and a commitment to ethical conduct.
~ Ability to mentor and coach junior team members effectively.
~ Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to identify risks and opportunities.
