A&W Line Cook Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at A&W. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to A&W recipes, ensuring that the kitchen and food preparation areas meet high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menu items to A&W recipes, ensuring quality and presentation
  • Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas meet restaurant cleaning requirements
  • Work with a team of cooks to prepare work for other shifts when needed
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate stock (first in, first out)
  • Follow all food safety standards
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean and reset for the opening team

Requirements:

  • Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
  • Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be team oriented
  • Must be at least 15 years old to work in the kitchen
