Role Summary:
The Bilingual Facilities Specialist is instrumental in promoting effective and economical store operations by overseeing vendor relations, facility management, data analysis, and special initiatives. Your skills in facilities oversight, contract negotiation, and analytical thinking will be essential in enhancing vendor partnerships, addressing store requirements, uncovering cost-saving strategies, and driving projects to successful completion.
Work Arrangement:
This position follows a hybrid model, requiring on-site presence at our Ottawa office for two days each week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Oversight: Manage vendor relationships for various services affecting store operations, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and identifying cost-saving measures.
- Facility Oversight: Assist stores with maintenance requests, equipment transitions, and other facility-related needs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Review store expenditures and service agreements to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities and ensure accurate reporting.
- Project Coordination: Lead special projects addressing store requirements, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders for successful outcomes.
- Compliance Management: Oversee store closures, manage service terminations, and ensure emergency services for inactive locations, adhering to compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and French is mandatory
- Post-secondary certification in facilities management or relevant experience
- At least 3 years of experience in facilities management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Building Code and relevant regulations
- Established relationships with key industry vendors
- Strong negotiation skills and accountability for vendor performance
- Critical thinking abilities and a proactive approach
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is a plus
