Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Worldsource Securities Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Business Systems and Development team, you will be responsible for working with all departments and business lines to provide Level II support, document requirements, manage releases, and ensure all requests are documented and prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize customer requests to ensure successful resolution;
  • Set priorities for Level II problem resolutions, monitor progress, and apply escalation procedures;
  • Liaise with business areas and I.T. to evaluate and/or develop solutions based on requirements;
  • Manage requirements gathering for scheduled upgrades, migrations, and approved projects;
  • Analyze and evaluate the impact of application enhancements and/or updates;
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new products and upgrades;
  • Investigate and document system bugs (Defect Management);
  • Work closely with various departments to understand and document business/systems requirements;
  • Produce technical and descriptive documentation;
  • Interpret technical and procedure manuals for non-technical users;
  • Assist in training users in application and computer system use;
  • Organize individual time, work, and resources to accomplish objectives effectively;
  • Demonstrate a rational and organized approach to work and identify development opportunities;
  • Interact with the testing team and/or vendors to provide technical input, support, and analysis;
  • Participate in corporate projects and initiatives as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Business or Information Technology;
  • Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and report writing with I.T.;
  • 5+ years' experience within the investment industry;
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Design products and forms management;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, and Visio;
  • Analytical problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in SQL and data warehouses an asset;
  • Knowledge of Dataphile OpenView an asset;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft CRM Dynamics an asset;
  • Ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously;
  • Strong communication skills.
