Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS)
Under the guidance of the Chief Information Officer, the DTS group was established with the goal of equipping our clients and colleagues with seamless, secure, and reliable digital experiences. The DTS group aims to:
1. Define, implement, and maintain the integrated technology target state and operational framework necessary for EDC's business transformation by 2030.
2. Develop and oversee a rolling three-year digital roadmap that outlines the technological outcomes essential for achieving the target state across all organizational domains.
3. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure EDC remains competitive and continues to foster Canadian global trade.

Role of the Senior Enterprise Architect
The Enterprise Architecture (EA) team is a small yet impactful unit within the DTS group, providing essential strategic and tactical services to various functions at EDC. The EA team operates as an architecture-as-a-service entity, focusing on influencing and facilitating the achievement of specific objectives and outcomes typically executed by other teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to develop and refine the digital strategy, roadmap, and technology target state in alignment with organizational goals.
- Engage with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements and integrate these into the digital roadmap.
- Understand the implications of technical debt and balance the need for addressing it with the development of new technological capabilities.
- Guide a collaborative, cross-functional approach to executing the full-stack digital roadmap projects.
- Provide architectural frameworks that enable collaboration among customer experience, application, data, integration, and infrastructure teams to achieve unified business outcomes.
- Communicate architectural strategies, roadmaps, and governance to stakeholders across the organization.
- Cultivate and expand a network of influence among key business and IT stakeholders.

Qualifications
- A university degree in a field relevant to enterprise architecture.
- Proficiency in business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT service management, agile and lean methodologies, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
- Understanding of various agile principles and methodologies, particularly those applicable at the enterprise level.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all components of enterprise architecture, business, and IT principles and processes.

- Bilingualism in both official languages (English & French) is considered an asset.
