Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Mine Operations Supervisor to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary range, commensurate with experience, and is structured as a Fly-In, Fly-Out position with a two-week rotation schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Management

  • Champion a culture of safety by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses.
  • Utilize risk management tools to enhance safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections and engage with team members to promote safety awareness.

Team Leadership

  • Guide and mentor team members through performance management and professional development.
  • Encourage open communication and promote a culture of inclusivity.
  • Manage unionized staff in accordance with collective agreements.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure alignment with production goals.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to optimize production processes.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

  • Valid BC Open Pit Shift Boss Ticket.
  • 5-10 years of experience in an open pit mining environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
