We are seeking a Senior or Principal Mining Engineer to join our team in Québec, Canada. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, both nationally and internationally.
The successful candidate will provide technical support and consulting advice on mining projects for clients in North America and globally. This will include contributing to technical studies, due diligence, operational assistance, and project management.
As a Mining Engineer, you will be expected to develop and maintain a client network in collaboration with our Ontario mining team. You will also have the opportunity to continuously develop your technical skills and industry knowledge to further assist the SRK Ontario team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support and consulting advice on mining projects
- Contribute to technical studies, due diligence, operational assistance, and project management
- Develop and maintain a client network in collaboration with the Ontario mining team
- Continuously develop technical skills and industry knowledge
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in mining engineering or related field
- At least 10 years of practical experience in mining engineering, in operations and/or consulting
- High level of proficiency in both spoken and written French and English
- Advanced level of technical skills in mining engineering
- Proficient in mine planning and optimization software tools, preferably Deswik
- Sufficient knowledge of the main aspects of mineral projects to enable identification of study risks and opportunities
- Demonstrated project management skills
- High level of effective communication and leadership qualities while working in a team environment
- Diversity of projects and clients within a non-hierarchical consultancy environment
- Opportunity to be part of an experienced, highly motivated global consulting group undertaking challenging projects around the world
- Opportunity to build the Canadian Mine Engineering presence in Quebec
