We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Governance and Strategy team at the Canadian Institute for Health Information. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the ongoing evolution of our governance and strategy activities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and support quarterly reporting activities, including data capture, data quality, and data analysis, to prepare data-driven insights and reports for senior leadership.
- Support training, communications, and engagement efforts, as well as maintain program tools and resources.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards for various audiences, including analyzing and advising on business requirements and operationalizing supporting data management systems, processes, and tools.
- Contribute strategic and thought leadership to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of business data reporting programs.
- Collaborate with other business areas to ensure data analysis and reporting efforts align with other activities and business requirements.
- Contribute to annual planning and reporting, corporate policy management, and secretariat support for senior leadership meetings.
- Provide project management and coordination to Governance and Strategy led initiatives.
- Design and maintain Governance and Strategy file systems, SharePoint Sites, and web pages.
- University degree in Business Administration or equivalent education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with a focus in supporting strategic and operational priorities within a corporate services, strategy, or business administration team.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience as a business data and systems analyst, linking and analyzing multiple large data sets, as well as experience in configuring and producing reports.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, as well as tools such as PowerBI and Eclipse PPM.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to contribute to enterprise-level projects, and to work in a demanding and rapid changing environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent organization skills and demonstrated experience in project management, coordinating multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate and engage effectively with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Fluency in English is required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.
