- Lead and Coach Direct Reports: Provide guidance and support to direct reports, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met.
- Assign Work and Evaluate Performance: Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and ensure required certifications and training are completed.
- Enforce Safety and Regulatory Standards: Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and customer standards, and manage supply spend and waste.
- Conduct Performance Evaluations and Manage Attendance: Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage attendance, and facilitate Toolbox meetings.
- Perform Inspections and Manage Labour Scheduling: Conduct regular inspections and manage labour scheduling to ensure optimal productivity.
- Management or Supervisory Experience: Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of Railcar Repair Techniques: Knowledge of railcar repair techniques and relevant regulations is an asset.
- Welding Experience: Welding experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a proven safety record are required.
- Strong Leadership and Collaboration Skills: Strong decision-making, leadership, and collaboration skills are essential.
- Positive Attitude and Ability to Work Independently: A positive attitude, ability to achieve results, and work independently are required.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and ability to work in various environmental conditions are necessary.
