Structural BIM Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural BIM Lead to join our Digital Engineering Department in Pickering, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the integration of design and cloud technologies with multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex BIM models using Revit and other BIM tools.
  • Develop workflows to integrate BIM models with Point Clouds to facilitate design for brownfield.
  • Adopt and administrate new tools to drive the digital transformation of engineering, construction, and design using cloud technologies.
  • Integrate vendor designs/3D models ensuring integrity of BIM data is maintained.
  • Develop new workflows to automate generation of deliverables such as Bill of Materials.
  • Lead and collaborate with other design disciplines to integrate and complete multi-discipline designs.
  • Develop and detail high quality drawings, with strong attention to detail using a BIM-first workflow.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Revit and the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Adept problem solver, driven to innovate, and keen to work with a multi-disciplinary mindset.
  • Experience with other BIM tools such as Civil3D, Tekla, Plant3D, AVEVA E3D, etc.
  • Knowledge of National Building Code and AISC Steel Construction.
  • Hands-on experience in the design of industrial structures (steel, concrete, wood, masonry).
  • Experience using STAAD Pro structural analysis software.
  • Graduation from an accredited institute program in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Technology.
  • P. Eng or OACETT Certification.
  • 5+ years of relevant design and drafting experience in consulting and/or Energy industry.
