Educational Requirements- Completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
- Exposure to various odours and hot conditions typical of a food service setting.
- Fast food outlet or concession
- Restaurant environment
- Develop and implement methods to meet work schedules effectively.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Train employees on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit food service personnel.
- Ensure food quality and service meet established standards.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns.
- Prepare and submit operational reports.
- Oversee the assembly of food trays.
- Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
- Manage a team of 3-4 individuals, including:
- Cooks (general)
- Food service counter attendants and food preparers
- Kitchen and food service helpers
- Safe Food Handling certificate is required.
- Public transportation options are available.
- Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is expected.
- Standing for extended periods is necessary.
- Strong client focus and efficient interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in food service.
