Risk Management Analyst

The Risk Management Analyst focuses on conducting various forms of credit evaluations for both potential and current merchants while providing support on credit-related inquiries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing suitable underwriting standards for new or existing merchant applications in line with established credit policies to minimize financial exposure.
- Reviewing merchants seeking a line increase or those flagged by the fraud detection process, particularly regarding processing volume or average transaction size.
- Conducting credit risk evaluations of existing high-risk merchants to ensure adherence to credit, fraud, card association regulations, and legal requirements.
- Assisting with customer inquiries for complex merchant setups that necessitate clarification of specific credit policies and decisions.
- Working collaboratively with the Moneris Fraud Group to oversee the activities of selected high-risk merchants.
Your qualifications include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in reviewing personal or commercial credit reports, credit adjudication, and credit assessment documentation.
- Experience in financial statement analysis or a solid understanding of business financial statements is essential for this role.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
