Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our team as a District Manager Trainee. This is an exciting opportunity for a career development program that will provide you with the skills and knowledge to succeed in a leadership role within our company.

About the Role:

As a District Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for supporting our Atlantic stores and gaining a deeper understanding of our business through a rotational based learning program. The program will last 6-9 months and will include rotations in:

  • Store Operations
  • Financial Planning
  • Leadership Development Training
  • Merchandising: Center of Store and Fresh
  • Supply Chain
  • PC Express
  • Data and Analytics
  • Leading and Supporting Retail Projects
  • Managing a Micro District with a Banner
  • Mentorship with Leaders in the Business

Key Responsibilities:

• Passion for food and understanding of our core offerings, fresh products, assortment, and local sourcing

• Ability to understand key seasonal trends and insights to drive profitability sales

• Keeping up to date on food trends, seasonal transitions, and diversity of cultures within the communities we trade

Business Acumen:

• Retail experience in the food industry

• Demonstrated capabilities and understanding of financial planning and budgeting

• Driven to improve processes and find efficiencies

• Entrepreneur-minded with sales, profit, and bottom-line focus

• Results-driven in a fast-paced environment

• Curious, open-minded, and passionate about continuous learning
