Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Project Manager to lead our cloud transformation initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive data migration plans, ensuring seamless execution, and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop Data Migration Plans: Create detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and deliverables, based on the scope and requirements of the migration project.
  2. Engage Stakeholders: Identify and collaborate with key stakeholders, including business owners, IT teams, and data users, to ensure their requirements are considered throughout the data migration process.
  3. Data Analysis and Mapping: Analyze source data in legacy systems and map it to the target data structure in the new environment, ensuring data compatibility and consistency.
  4. Data Validation and Testing: Develop comprehensive data validation plans and conduct rigorous testing to verify the accuracy and completeness of the migrated data.
  5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to data migration and develop risk mitigation strategies to address issues proactively.
  6. Resource Management: Coordinate and manage resources involved in the data migration project, including internal teams and external vendors, to ensure seamless execution.
  7. Documentation and Support: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data migration processes, methodologies, and outcomes for future reference and knowledge sharing. Provide post-migration support to users and stakeholders, ensuring a smooth transition to the new data environment.
Requirements
  1. Proven Experience: 7+ years of experience as a Program Manager or Project Manager, with a focus on data migration projects.
  2. Data Migration Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  3. Technical Skills: Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  4. Leadership Skills: Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  6. Analytical Skills: Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities.
