Job Title: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Renfrew Educational Services is a leading provider of educational programs and services for children and youth with disabilities. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified teacher to work with children with disabilities in our Early Childhood Services Program. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs and a strong understanding of child development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized program plans (IPPs) for children in conjunction with the classroom team.
  • Design and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate programs tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to meet individual goals.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of all children.
  • Collaborate with parents, child development facilitators, and therapy teams to ensure comprehensive support and optimal programming for each child.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Education degree.
  • Valid teaching certification in Alberta.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of child development and inclusive education best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
